Brazilian Straightening methods
1 - Can I apply the product at home by myself?
No. The product should only be applied by a professional hairdresser. Why?
Because they have done training, have the right tools and the skills to deliver the best results.
2 - After having the colour done when can I do the procedure?
You can do the keratin 3 days later.
3 - Can I have the treatment done if I am pregnant?
Although products are demonstrated to be safe and there is no evidence of side effects, for pregnant women, it is strongly advised that the client consults with their doctor first.
4 - How do I know if my client will have an allergic reaction to the treatment?
The patch test should be done in the inner area of the arm (click here to see) apply a small amount of the product and wait for 2 minutes. If there is any redness or itching it means that the client is allergic to the product and should not have the treatment done.
5 - What is the durability of the treatment?
The treatment lasts in average 12 weeks, up to 6 months, but that will depend on how often the hair is washed, dyed, the hair thickness and if the right after care products are being used.
6 - Will my hair be 100% straight?
It depends on the hair structure. Please check below the expected results for each type of hair after the Brazilian Keratin treatments:

7 - Can I colour hair on the same day as the treatment?
If your hairdresser chooses to do all in one day, we recommend that the colour should be done first, preferably 1 tone darker, as the treatment will lift up the colour.
*It is always advisable to have the colour done first, since it will open the hair cuticle. If the Brazilian Keratin is done first, the durability of the treatment can be reduced.
If the Keratin is applied after the colour procedure, there is no need to use the Cleansing Shampoo.
8 - Can I bleach my hair the same day as the treatment?
Yes. After the highlights you can proceed with the keratin straightening as usual.
If the Keratin is applied after the bleaching procedure, there is no need to use the Cleansing Shampoo.
9 - Can the hair be washed on the same day?
No, the hair should only be washed 24 hours after the procedure was done. But the client can stay with the product in the hair for longer.
10 - Will my hair become greasy after having the treatment done?
No, this is one of the main advantages of our treatment, it does not make the hair greasy after it is done.

11 - Is the waiting time for step 2 necessary?
Yes, this is an amino acid-based formula so the product needs 1 hour to be active in the hair structure.
12 - Is the product rinsed before being blow-dried into hair?
Yes. This is the differential about this amino acid-based formula, it acts in the hair during waiting time, so the blow-dry and ironing process will seal the product into the hair.
So, basically the product is applied, after 1 hour it is rinsed, only then will the hair be blow-dried and ironed.
13 - When can I wash my hair after having the treatment done?
After the ironing process, the hair can be washed at any time.

14 - What is the difference between this product and the regular straightening treatment?
Tanino blonde straightens the hair while treating it, as a result, the hair will be nourished, hydrated and healthy, with regular use.
15 - What is the effect on this treatment if applied over a bleached highlighted hair?
It will remove the undesirable yellow colour leaving the hair with a beautiful blonde tone.
16 - Can it be applied over any other hair colour?
It should only be applied over blonde, bleached and highlighted hair.

17 - Can I apply Biohairvolux over blonde bleached hair?
As the product is cysteine based it can interact with the hair colour turning it yellow. However, it works very well over dark coloured hair and afro caribbean hair

The SOS Anti-ageing Platinum is specially developed to remove the undesirable yellow effect from the blonde and bleached hair while treating it and removing its frizz and reducing the volume.

No, it will just reduce volume and make your hair frizz free.
